MOTION FOR CONSIDERATION
THAT the following Consent Agenda items 12.1.1 to 12.1.8 be endorsed:

RACS 2016-041
THAT the Fraser Valley Regional District Board write a letter to the
Minister of Agriculture that:
• Shows appreciation, on behalf of the dogs and cats in the
FVRD, for the proactive step of recognizing the Canadian
Veterinary Medical Association's Codes of Practice for both
kennel and cattery operations as generally accepted
management practices for breeders;
• Voices its support for the move towards "Standards of Care" that
would make the new Codes of Practice legally-binding to ensure
an appropriate level of deterrence, in combination with a new
mandatory registration requirement;
• Expresses opposition to any potential downloading of
responsibly and/or costs associated with the implementation of
these new initiatives; and
• Requests the Ministry to work closely with the Union of British
Columbia Municipalities to ensure local government concerns
are addressed.

EASC 2016-060
THAT the Fraser Valley Regional District Board approve a Grant-in-
Aid to the Chilliwack Area Lions Clubs in the amount of $2,500 to be
funded from the 2016 Electoral Area “H” grant-in-aid budget to
provide funds to help offset the costs of hosting the Cultus Lake Pike
Minnow Fishing Derby.

THAT the Fraser Valley Regional District Board authorize a grant-inaid
in the amount of $1,500 to the Hope River Monsters Swim Club,
funded from the Electoral Area “B” grant-in-aid budget, to help offset
the costs of swim lane rentals at the Dan Sharrers Aquatic Centre
(Hope).

THAT the Fraser Valley Regional District Board approve a Grant-in-
Aid to the Cultus Lake Events and Activities Committee in the amount
of $1,500 to be funded from the 2016 Electoral Area “H” grant-in-aid
budget to provide funds to help offset the costs of hosting the annual
Cultus Lake Days community event.

THAT the Fraser Valley Regional District Board approve a Grant-in-
Aid to the Scowlitz First Nation in the amount of $3,000 to be funded
from the 2016 Electoral Area “C” grant-in-aid budget to provide funds
to help offset the costs of hosting the second annual Sasquatch
Country Festival.

EASC 2016-064
THAT the Fraser Valley Regional District Board approve a Grant-in-
Aid to the Deroche Farmer's Market in the amount of $1,500 from the
Electoral Area "G" grant-in-aid budget to provide funds to acquire
capital items associated with operating the farmer's market;
AND THAT the purchase of these items be managed by the Regional
District who will also retain ownership of the items for the benefit of
the larger local community;
AND FURTHER THAT the Fraser Valley Regional District Board
request the two tents funded via a grant-in-aid in 2015 also be
considered assets of the Regional District.

objection to the application for the Rural Agency Store for the sale of
liquor in conjunction with an independently owned full service general
